The purpose of the Poughkeepsie Soccer Club Travel program is to provide soccer opportunities of a higher caliber than is provided in the intramural program. These opportunities are gained by:
In general travel players are expected to be available to practice 2 times per week during the fall and spring seasons, be available to practice 1 time per week during the winter, be available to travel within the East Hudson Youth Soccer League (generally within an hour) for one game a week (usually Sunday early afternoon) during fall and spring seasons.
In addition to the general expectations, some teams may elect to do additional tournaments, elect to rent additional winter training space, and/or arrange for additional time with a professional trainer. These items are decided by, and paid for, by each individual team.
Lastly, there is an expectation that each team will participate in the PSC's Columbus Weekend Tournament, and that parents of each player will donate 3 hours to help run the tournament, and will donate baked goods to be sold at the tournament.
